HAPPY FEET (JA) and KING KAYAK (USA/GD) AUSTRALIA TOUR 2023!!! 

These world class artists will be gracing our Australian shores for a 2 week national tour in September and for the first time on the Gold Coast, the crew at Rhythm & Roots Movement will be hosting these exclusive workshops at Dance Headquarters on Thursday 28th September!

If you love Afro and/or Dancehall dance and music, you cannot miss these workshops live and direct from the source - it doesn't get better than this and we promise you won't experience vibes like this anywhere else!

*While it is important to us to foster inclusivity, it is also important for us to share these dances with the utmost care and respect to the culture. In it's native spaces, this "sub-style" of Dancehall is generally practiced and performed by females.

Open to everyone and all levels. 16 years and above. 

ABOUT KING KAYAK

Born and raised in Carriacou, Grenada, West Indies, Wendell Bullen a.k.a. King Kayak is a professional Artist, Dancer, Choreographer and Entrepreneur.  He is also a well sought after instructor teaching dance classes and workshops at various prestigious dance hubs worldwide such as Broadway Dance Center (NYC), World Changers (Indiana), Millennium Dance Complex (LA), Studio MRG (Paris) and many more!  

You can see King Kayak appearing in many Music videos, World Tours, TV shows and ad campaigns for various brands. Some music videos include artists such as Janet Jackson , Farruko, Fabulous, Davido and more. Some of TV shows include Latenight with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Impractical Jokers, and BET to name few. King Kayak has also featured in ad campaigns for well known brands such as Reebok, Black Pyramid, Vinci Wearable, Guinness and more.

Wendell’s biggest accomplishment to date is performing for Prince William and Dutchess Kate Middleton of England when they visited The Door NYC.

ABOUT HAPPY FEET


Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Toni Gay O'Meally better known as HAPPY FEET is the creator of the popular dances Happy Jook,Up in Deh, Set It, Guh Dung and many more.

Since Happy Feet’s humble beginnings, she has become one of Jamaica's well known female dancers featuring in over 40 music videos. She has danced for countless artists including Vybz Kartel, Sean Paul, Sia, Konshens, Intense and so many more! She is the official dancer and choreographer for Shenseea, “Princess of Dancehall”. Happy Feet has danced with the Sandals Entertainment team, movement directed well known Music Videos such Aidonia "Hey Girl",  Konshens "Dancehall Wine" and Vybz Kartel "Thickiana" and continues to be booked throughout the country to dance and perform at events and parties. 

Happy Feet is also a dance instructor and has shared her dances and culture beyond the borders of Jamaica in countries such as Greece, Israel, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and France to name a few. In a matter of weeks, Australia will be on that list too!
