Description

Join our hands-on Harakeke workshop and learn the traditional art of creating a kōnae basket

These beautiful Māori flax baskets were traditionally used for gathering and serving kai and today make versatile storage pieces for the home.

Guided step-by-step, you’ll work with harakeke to shape and weave your own piece while learning the cultural significance behind this timeless practice.

By the end of the workshop you'll have the knowledge and skills to craft your own practical and sustainable Harakeke baskets.

These workshops embrace zero-waste, nature-based craft that creates beautiful, sustainable gifts and home decorations.

No experience needed—just come ready to create, connect, and take home your own handmade kōrari treasure.
