Heather Steadman studied raranga (harakeke weaving) at Waikato Institute of Technology, and at marae from Kawhia to Rotorua. She is involved with the Waitaha Executive Grandmothers Council which focuses on water issues down south (38 rivers), conservation organisations near home and rongoa rakau (tree medicine).

This is a (relatively) easy kete to make, and she hopes that people will continue to produce them.
She says ‘the world needs more koha energy eh!’
