Harmonium Kiirtan Workshop
Event description
This workshop is designed for people who want to be able to lead kiirtan on the harmonium, accompany other musicians, or play for personal enjoyment or spiritual practice. It is designed especially for those with little or no prior piano/ keyboard/ harmonium playing experience, but all are welcome.
As well as the basics of playing simple harmonium melodies, the workshop will aim to give a deeper appreciation of music and kiirtan from both a western and eastern perspective, touching on music theory, history and philosophy.
Space is limited to 8 participants. Minimum number for course to go ahead is 4.
