Harmony Week Soccer: Students vs Staff
Event description
Australia is one of the most successful multicultural countries in the world and here at CSS we celebrate this everyday and work to maintain it. All people who migrate to Australia bring with them some of their own cultural and religious traditions, as well as taking on many new traditions. Collectively, these traditions have enriched our nation.
Harmony week was first held in 1999 and since then has grown to become an important week each year for us all to come together and celebrate our diverse community. Harmony Week is all about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
After a wonderful game last year, let’s get together again for a fun (friendly) game of Harmony Day Soccer - CSS Students vs Staff. Depending on interest, teams will be 9 a side each.
Safety reminders:
As we gear up for a fun-filled and harmonious event, we want to ensure that everyone stays safe and enjoys themselves to the fullest. To facilitate this, we'd like to share some important guidelines:
- To protect yourself from potential injuries, you must wear shin guards throughout the game. This simple precaution can prevent minor knocks from turning into painful bruises.
- Please be sun safe, as we will be playing outdoors, it’s crucial to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Don't forget to wear a hat and apply sunscreen before the game and consider bringing extra for reapplication during breaks. Please bring your own water bottle.
We are looking forward to a fantastic game of camaraderie and sportsmanship. Let's come together to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and unity through the universal language of soccer!
By participating in the soccer game, you acknowledge and accept that there are inherent risks involved in sports activities. While we've taken measures to ensure a safe environment, each player plays at their own risk.
