Harvest Ready - Fruit Fly Management Workshop

Do you want to learn more about managing fruit fly so you can have beautiful, bountiful fruit and learn how to keep our community safe from fruit fly?
Come along to an interactive workshop with Katie Finlay, from Grow Great Fruit and The Orchard Keepers. Katie will show you how to prune your trees in summer to manage for fruit fly and ensure a generous harvest.
The workshop will cover:
Pest management tips for Queensland fruit fly.
Basic theory of pruning trees (including what not to do!)
Pruning effectively to help you net your trees

Please bring a pair of secateurs if possible (there will be some available). The event will be held outside, so appropriate protective clothing is advised, such as a hat, covered shoes and gardening gloves.

Fees: $30 per person. (***Free for all Fruit Crew (registered with The Orchard Keepers) and GA Harvest volunteers (registered with Growing Abundance Project).)
