Save Your Seeds and Swap
Event description
Join Fiona Blackham of Gaia Permaculture to learn about :
- Basic botany and how plants produce seeds including cross-pollination
- How to harvest seeds including different techniques, labelling and storing seeds
Participants will go home with at least 3 different varieties of seeds they have cleaned themselves and put into envelopes made from origami of recycled paper.
Light grazing snacks will be provided due to the time frame including gluten-free and vegan options.
The Save Your Seeds and Swap workshop is part of the Enviro House Harvest and Repair Day in collaboration with Sustainable Bayswater. Following the workshop at 1.30pm will be a 30 minute garden tool maintenance session then the Share and Repair Cafe from 2pm-4pm so feel free to bring along those garden tools in need of a sharpen or other items requiring repair.
