What is accessbility like at Dance Mission?

Accessibility: Dance Mission Theater is located on the second floor and is accessible by an elevator or approximately 20 stairs (there is a handrail). If you require wheelchair / limited mobility seating, please choose “ADA / wheelchair seating” when picking your ticket. For other access needs, please email info@dancemission.com at least 48 hours prior to the show and we will do our best to accomodate. Bathrooms are all gender and are ADA acessible.

What is parking and public transportation like?

Parking and public transportation: Dance Mission Theater is located directly across the street from the 24/Mission BART station and is on MUNI Lines 12, 14, 49, 48, 67, and 48. If you do decide to drive, give yourself time to find parking as it can be difficult. The closest parking lot is at 21/Bartlett Streets, about a 5 min walk from the theater.

What time do I need to arrive?

The box office opens and lobby one hour prior to showtime. Please arrive NO LATER than 15 minutes prior to curtain. Please note that we may not be able to accomodate late arrivals.

Featuring work by: World-Building & Storytelling Performance Workshop with Nicole Klaymoon, Samba no Pe Performance Workshop with Mayela Carrasco, Josephine Morada Ortiz and Fogo na Roupa Ala das Baianas, Salimpour Collective, Eli Shi, Grace Schafer Perry, Choreo Club, Pocket of Joy Collective, Natasha Carlitz Dance Ensemble, Rang De Indian Folk and Bollywood Dance Company, Knudson & Co, Santa Rosa Junior College Dance Company, David Schrag Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop, and Aimee Rose.

Dance Mission Theater is an artist driven space dedicated to inclusiveness, fairness, and justice. We create, produce, present, and teach feminist and multicultural dance/theater, engaging a diverse group of Bay Area artists, audiences, and students. Many female, queer, racially mixed, and culturally specific ensembles consider Dance Mission Theater their artistic home, creating a thriving inter-generational community. Dance Mission Theater is also the home to Krissy Keefer’s Dance Brigade, San Francisco’s groundbreaking, social-change dance company and Grrrl Brigade, Dance Brigade’s youth leadership dance company.
