Description

Welcome to our Hatha Vinyasa flow sessions, themed around Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga & 5 element theory from both Ayurvedic & Chinese Medicine Traditions.

Come and be a part of our community and share in the practice of the ancient wisdoms of yoga.

Move into stillness within and rejuvenate your energy, let go and flow with a balanced practice. This class will incorporate mantra, posture/asana flows and holds, pranayama breath work, meditation and relaxation.

The barn is an intimate setting with limited spots and can be fresh, as it's a barn with drafts, a concrete floor (with mats) and has one source of heating- the wood heater (when lit!).

Please prepare yourself with your warm, cosy, comfortable clothing, a drink bottle, and anything else of comfort to you.

The class on Saturday will be repeated on the Monday if you enjoy the familiarity and want to book for both. Please be mindful if you do book a number of sessions to note them on your calendar, as unless you request it to be added to your calendar we will not be sending out reminders. If you need to cancel, please send an email or SMS to Georgi with as much notice as you can as we do have a wait list enabled.

Donate on the day: A suggested $5-$10 cash donation for class, if you can afford it, can be left in the donation box on the desk. There is an option to donate via humanitix here, if you prefer.

FAQs

  • Do you have yoga mats?

Yes we do have some very basic mats. For your comfort, and if you have your own mat, we'd suggest you bring it along to give more padding for the concrete barn floor we practice on.

  • Where is the parking?

You can drive into Creekside and park in the drive area. It's suggested to come in the first entrance to make coming out the corner (second) entry/exit clearer to see.

Feel free to drive onto the grass (such as infront of the barn doors), park behind my van, alongside the apple orchard, there are a number of options.

However, if it's looking a bit full, you'll find some spots further up the road to pull to the side. If you enjoy a walk to and from yoga it's suggested that the Woodbridge oval is a lovely spot to start off from as it's a short 10 minute stroll to Creekside from there (with lots of parking).

  • Do you provide blankets?

Yes we have a small range of 8 blankets, but as the mats, if you prefer your own, bring it along.

  • What other props do you have?

We have both heavy and light weighted blocks to support postures; straps; and a small range of bolsters (8).

  • Is there a bathroom?

Yes of course, we have toilet facilities, a bathroom on site.

  • Do you filter your water?

The water at Creekside is unfiltered tank water, and so if you prefer yours filtered, please fill up your drink bottle before coming.

  • Is the yoga for people who have never done a yoga class?

    Beginners are welcome to join.

This is not a step by step or progressive beginners class, however you will be supported to move with the group if yoga is completely new to you- come and try!

The flow sequence may be quite dynamic at times, but rest options will be demonstrated for you to take at any time. You are encouraged to tune into your needs and feel into your limitations.

  • How much is a class?

If you are able to afford a small cash contribution on the day, please bring the right change with a suggested $5-$10 donation for class (donation box at the front door). You can also make a donation via the humanitix donate option if preferred.

  • When should I arrive?

We will be ready to receive you 20 minutes before class. Please try and arrive at least 5 minutes before class starts, to settle in, and 10-15 minutes earlier if this is your first time visiting.

Come in and find a free mat to settle yourself onto, or if you have your own mat it is suggested to place it on top of ours. However, if you prefer just your own mat, the other mat can be rolled up for you to place yours in the same spot (as positions in the barn are set, due to space limitations).
