Haunted History Hayrides 2023
Event description
Did you know that Crown Hill Farm has a rich history of hauntings and the paranormal?
Join us on Halloween Weekend (Oct. 27 & 28) for a Banner Farm Clydesdale horse-drawn hayride and hear stories of Crown Hill Farm's paranormal & haunted history. Warm up fireside with locally-made drinks & snacks!
HORSE-DRAWN WAGON RIDE
Take a traditional hayride pulled by two beautiful Clydesdale draft horses brought to us by Banner Farm! Return to the slower pace of an earlier time and agricultural roots of Crown Hill on your hayride wagon pulled by Bonnie & Jake as you pass farms, the vineyards, fields and woods. Learn more about working horses as you enjoy the fall colors & picturesque views of Lake Erie on the horizon.
FIRESIDE SNACKS & STORIES
At the farmhouse, warm up by the fire pit with a hot beverage and snack while you listen to stories of the haunted and paranormal history of Crown Hill. Through the years, folks have known Crown Hill as “the suicide house”, “the murder house” or “the seance house” all of which reflect the curious and rich history of the farm. Hear TRUE STORIES of the history and hauntings of Crown Hill Farm.
HALLOWEEN FAMILY FUN & FOODS
Take photos with our resident Grinning Jack o’ Lantern, Grandmother Spider, Playful Ghost and Mysterious Black Cat. Walk around the orchard and property to experience a small-scale working farm settling into the autumn season. Pet our Border Leicester Longwool sheep and toss treats to the chickens, ducks and geese. Enjoy family-friendly lawn games, and halloween activities.
Enjoy local Artisan-made foods! The Savage Wheat Project will have Hot Caramel Apple Cider and other local, wholesome goodies for sale. In addition, grab a grilled sausage sandwich from BABS Artisan Meats (on Saturday) or Hand-Crafted knishes and more all featuring many local farm ingredients!
Shop the farm at our table with farm fresh produce straight from the gardens.
Sit and enjoy the peace of our gardens and sunset view bench.
SPECIAL SPIRITUAL MEDIUM GROUP READING!
After your hayride and tour of the farm, stay on Saturday at 1pm for a group spiritual experience! Candi Donladson-Thornton, Spiritual Medium, is offering a Group Reading on Saturday the 30th at 1pm here at Crown Hill Farm! At the beginning of all Hallows Eve, when the veil is thinnest between our dimension and a higher plane of existence, is an ideal time to contact the spirit world for guidance and support. Only working with the highest and best energies, Candi will raise her vibration to contact your spiritual guides, teachers, and loved ones to bring though the information that you need to know, at this point in your life, to keep you on you highest and best path. Make sure to add this on to your ticket — only 12 seats available for this special event!
