Event description

Haus of Horror presents "Scream" inside Parramatta Gaol.

We're so excited to welcome you to Haus of Horror; held outdoors on an open grassy field inside Parramatta Gaol under the stars.

Every ticket gives you full access to independently explore the gaol before the film, access to bars and food vendors, a live DJ playing while the sun sets and of course, our main event - the original SCREAM (1996)!

WHEN: Doors are at 6pm (two hours to setup your seating and then explore the gaol, grab food and drinks and enjoy some music). Film begins at 8pm. We recommend getting there early to secure a good spot.

WHAT TO BRING: This is an outdoor picnic setting. Please feel free to bring blankets, pillows, low lawn chairs etc. Tall Chairs are NOT allowed. There are no chairs allowed in the no chair zone in the centre of the field. Allowable chair height in chair zones is from ground to seat is 15cm and from seat to top of chair 53cm. A small tarp underneath your blanket is recommended.

FOOD AND DRINK: Non-alcoholic bar facilities are onsite as well as food vendors, popcorn, soft drinks, snacks. You're able to pack your own picnic with food and drink but please note no glass or alcohol will be allowed as per the conditions of using the venue.

IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE:
Yes! If you need assistance, please email felicity@thepreative.com.

PARKING: Street parking is available.

PETS: We love animals but only service dogs on leashes are welcome at our screenings.

TOILETS:
 Bathrooms are available on-site.

WEATHER:
All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. We are a rain-or-shine event. However in the event that weather conditions prove to be unsafe, we will notify ticket holders with information about a rescheduled screening.

ENTRY:
You can choose to either print your ticket at home or download a barcode to your smartphone to be scanned at the gate for your admission. Be sure to turn the brightness level on your phone or device all the way up and have your barcodes loaded before you get to the front of the line. One ticket is good for one scan. It will not work on other scanners after being scanned. Seating inside is first-come, first-served.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY:
We are blessed to screen a film inside this historic location. Please show respect to all trees and buildings. Please, take everything with you that you bring. We pride ourselves as a low-waste company.

OTHER FAQ:

DO YOU ACCEPT TICKETS FROM THIRD PARTY VENDORS:
No. Unlawful or attempted sale subjects tickets to Haus of Horror events to revocation without refund. Tickets obtained from unauthorised sources may be invalid, lost, stolen, or counterfeit and if so are void. All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges

IS CLOSED CAPTIONING AVAILABLE:
We recommend the use of Subtitles Viewer! on Apple devices or SubtitlePlayer on Android for our films when Closed Captioning is required. Both are free and sync to the film at the start of the movie or at the first dialogue and can be used anywhere you are seeing a film.

HOW DOES SEATING WORK: Seating is on a first-come first-served basis. To fit everyone comfortably on the lawn, we recommend setting up “blanket-to-blanket” with your neighbours, leaving no empty space between parties. There are aisles on the lawn for easy access to restrooms and exits. Haus of Horror Ushers (in Haus of Horror T-Shirts) are on-site to assist with seating or with any questions. Please remember there are no lit candles or flames allowed.

ARE THERE IN AND OUT'S:
There are no ins and outs.

WILL THERE BE FIRST AID:
Yes, a First Aid officer will be on-site at all times. If you need assistance, please find the nearest staff member or security.
