    Event description

Have you tried using a diary?! is a 2-hour webinar exploring the ADHD neurotype in adulthood, hosted by me, Nicolle Griffin, a Psychologist and ADHDer.

In a few short months, it will be the 10-year anniversary of my ADHD confirmation (!)

Since learning I am an ADHDer, I have tried all the tips, tricks, techniques, strategies, meds and life hacks aimed at upcycling my #DumpsterFireLife into a life more orderly, organised, efficient and productive. I’ve also worked with a chaos of ADHDers to help them better understand their brains and bodies so they can survive in a society that does not understand what it is like to have executive dysfunction.

I'm here to let you know that your adult ADHD clients can learn to do more than just survive, they can begin to thrive - in work, study and in life when they understand themselves and how to work with their brain instead of fighting against it.

    Who is this webinar for?

This webinar is aimed at psychs, social workers, counsellors, occupational therapists, speechies & other allied health professionals who work therapeutically with adult ADHDers. While the information may be useful for practitioners who work with children and teenagers, it is focussed on adult clients.

We will cover the following topics #adhdstyle:

    • Understanding ADHD from a neuro-affirming lens.
    • ADHD in the DSM vs IRL.
    • How ADHD shows up in the therapy room.
    • ADHD meds in adults - what do they help with?
    • The most common issues your adult ADHD clients will ask you for help with - and how to help them!
    •  ADHD lingo & culture - time blindness, object permanence, hyperfocus, the waiting room, etc.

The following resources will be provided to webinar participants:
