Haven x Club Motif Present: Nicola Cruz, Silvia Ponce, Davi Bangma, & Pedro Ipince

Presenting a night of world influenced house, techno, and electro with some of Ecuador's finest, starting on the terrace with an early start from 2PM. Teaming up with Club Motif (previously known as Expressions and Kino Grande), known for bringing some of the top internationally touring leftfield artists to Northern Rivers.

Haven positions itself as a high quality temporary venue where people can celebrate music and connect with their community before the building is inevitably redeveloped. The entire space is built entirely with salvaged materials; a nod to the space's transient nature. The impermanence of the space becomes part of its power, building urgency and turning each night of unique programming into a rarity.

The venues story is also shaped by the history of the building. An old Woolworths site now being transformed into a venue for culture. 

The installation led by Oliver Buckworth, Katsu Yokoyama and Zelimir Harasty takes guests to a street scene in a densely populated city, where culture, sound and life overlap. There’s Traces of Kowloon city, 80’s anime, Wong Kar Wai films and Tokyo listening bar culture.

NICOLA CRUZ (EC)

Nicola Cruz is an electronic music explorer, with a genuine passion for music selection and an eclectic approach to his craft. Born in France and raised in Ecuador, his journey in music reflects deep appreciation for diverse cultures and sounds, specially rooted in Latin America. From analog synthesizers to field recordings, Cruz utilizes a wide range of tools to sculpt his sound, constantly pushing himself to discover new sonic textures and possibilities. Beyond his solo work, Cruz is also known for his collaborations with musicians from diverse backgrounds, further enriching his sonic landscape.

SILVIA PONCE (EC)

From early years, the presence of both music and movement were strongly involved in her life. Starting off with a small record collection in 2013, she began her trajectory as a Dj in the city of Quito being one of the very few woman in the scene. Her profound interest for House, Disco, Acid, Techno, Tech House and Pop mark a very determined style in her mixes incorporating different sounds and times within these genres. Being a Yoga teacher on the other hand, Silvia looks to connect with her crowds from both worlds in a friendly, interesting, colourful and easy going way.

DAVI BANGMA (AU)

Davi Bangma is a Sydney based producer who blends field recordings with electronics to create soundscapes that sit between ambient and club music.

No stranger to Sydney’s club scene, Davi ran the renowned warehouse insititution parties called Insert and the weekly club night, Peoples Club.

Through these parties, Davi showcased the best local electronic artists and created new spaces for musical exploration at a time when Sydney’s nightlife was struggling.

His parties hosted Seekae, András, Fantastic Man, Kim Ann Foxman, and many more. Davi has also performed at some of Australia’s best festivals, including Days Like This, Subsonic, and Lost Paradise.

PEDRO IPINCE (ESP)

Pedro Ipince is a DJ, producer, and curator hailing from the Canary Islands, with a deep-rooted connection to music that has shaped his journey for over five years. From playing across Spain and the Canary Islands to his current base in Byron Bay, he’s honed his ability to read a room, build momentum, and connect with the crowd on a deeper level.

His sets weave together classic house and nu-disco, always with a fresh and modern touch. Whether it’s an open-air daytime vibe or a packed peak-time dancefloor, Pedro’s selections are rich in emotion, groove, and intention. He’s all about creating moments that linger long after the music stops.

Driven by a pure love for sound and storytelling, every one of his sets is more than just music—it’s a journey of rhythm, feeling, and movement.
