The Having a Say conference is a national conference held each year in Geelong, Victoria. It is a conference for people with disability. It aims to give people with disabilities the opportunity to not only attend a conference, but build their skills, knowledge and connections through being involved in planning and running a conference.

Having a Say Conference has been supporting people to find their voice.... to speak up, be heard and be respected - for 23 years.

It is a conference where people listen to each other, not just to the speakers on stage. It is an empowering experience where people respect each other’s views and opinions and celebrate their common causes and achievements.

Having a Say’s Got Talent (HGT)

Red Faces is back in 2024 with a new name, the Having a Say’s Got Talent.

only 20 people can Audition on Monday 5th February 2024
the winners of each category will perform during the Closing Ceremony Tues. 6th Feb. at 3.15pm – 4.15pm

Having a Say’s Got Talent show HGT Entry Form will be available in October 2023

Art Competition

Thanks to the sponsorship of the Victorian Senior Practitioner, the HaS Art Competition will be on again.

All the details are on Art Comp Entry Form

Original artworks (no photos) will need to be received by VALID by 22nd of December 2023.

Come & Try (C&T) Activities

Participants with a disability who are attending:

both days of the conference, have the opportunity to do TWO C&T (Come & Try activities)
only for 1 day, you will have the chance to choose ONE ‘C&T Activity’
places are limited in each C&T activity
places will go on a first in basis (book when you register for the conference)

Bookings: At the end of registration process on Humanitix, you will be asked to select C&T activities.
