Hawke’s Bay Innovators Meetup @ Mai Kai (Hosted at Hapī)

For our August edition of the Hawke’s Bay Innovators Meetup, we’re thrilled to be hosted by Mai Kai, a kaupapa Māori food initiative that’s challenging how we think about kai, community, and the future of our food system here in Aotearoa.

Led by Gretta Carney and Jody Hamilton, Mai Kai draws on research and indigenous knowledge to reimagine our food system — tackling issues like food integrity, insecurity, sustainability, and intergenerational wellbeing in creative new ways.

Come along to hear their story, the kaupapa that guides their mahi, and how they’re weaving innovation with deeply rooted indigenous values.
