Speaker: Royal Australian Air Force - Aimee Meikle

As a Personnel Capability Officer (PCO) in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and BBus (Mgt) and soon-to-be MStratPMgt graduate, Squadron Leader Aimee Meikle has lead numerous subordinates and supported her Commanders, on more occasions than she can count. She has lived and breathed service life for over a decade, having posted to Melbourne, Townsville and Sydney. Aimee has lead individuals and teams, recruited hundreds of members, delivered influential speeches, managed challenging welfare cases, and has driven change through critical decision-making.

Gaining trust and respect from fellow ADF members is no easy feat, but Aimee believes that anyone can lead effectively when equipped with the right mindset, values and knowledge. In this 20-minute presentation, PCO Aimee Meikle will share her lived-experiences as both a leader and follower. She will provide insights, strategies and guidance on how best to positively influence and lead others, through proactive problem identification, a willingness to learn, and always working with a purpose. Learn how to remain calm in challenging situations, consider personal circumstances, and make effective decisions in the best interest of all stakeholders.
