Haystacks Solar Garden Launch Event

After four years and 3 months of project delivery we couldn’t be more thrilled to let you know construction Haystacks Solar Garden is complete!
This Australian-first project is pioneering a way for renters and apartment dwellers - or anyone who can't install rooftop solar - to get the benefits of solar straight onto their electricity bill.
This project is proudly funded by the NSW Government in association with the Haystacks Solar Garden Co-operative, under the Regional Community Energy Fund.
Join us in Grong Grong on Saturday 27th of April to launch Haystacks Solar Garden.
Festivities will begin in the afternoon on site (the solar farm) with a tour, some speeches, a celebratory launch appropriate moment with everyone and many photos. Then we’ll head to the local pub for dinner.
Meet us at the site at 3pm or join the free bus (and save yourself the long drive) from Sydney with the Haystacks project team and many other solar garden pioneers!
The bus from Sydney will leave from Central Station at 8am Saturday 27th in time for the launch festivities at Grong Grong. On Sunday the bus will depart at 10am to arrive back in Sydney by 4:30pm.
After the pub dinner, the bus will do drop offs to everyone's accommodations in Grong Grong and Narrandera and have a meeting point in each town on Sunday morning. Please make your own arrangements for accommodation.
