HCC Community Conversation: COVID update for health consumers March 2024

This event has passed Get Tickets

Event description

While news of COVID infections may occur less frequently in the media, we know that many people value the opportunity to hear the latest information about its impact, and how to protect ourselves.

Health Consumers’ Council is hosting another in our series of Consumer Conversations to help people in the community better understand COVID in your home and life.

We will be joined by Dr Andrew Miller, an anaesthetist, former President of the AMA in WA and a Board member of OzSage, a multi-disciplinary network of Australian experts from a broad range of sectors relevant to the well-being of the Australian population during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know COVID remains a concern for medically vulnerable people and the community at large. And with regular media reports of rising infection numbers, and evidence about the impact of Long COVID and multiple infections still emerging, many in the community may be concerned about whether we're doing enough to manage the risk of serious illness or widespread infection.

In this session you will have the opportunity to submit your questions to Dr Andrew Miller and get the latest facts. Please submit your questions when you register.

This session will be held online via Zoom. If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact us at info@hconc.org.au or call 08 9221 3422
