Join us for the 2025 HCSA Annual General Meeting and Historian of the Year Address

The History Council of South Australia warmly invites you to our 2025 Annual General Meeting, featuring a special address by our 2025 Historian of the Year, Dr Heidi Ing.

Heidi will present on the theme of collaboration in historical research and public history. Drawing on her experience with The House of History and the recently awarded ARC Linkage Project A Tale of Two Cities: Long run social and economic mobility in Australia, Heidi will explore how nature and nurture shaped the lives of children of convicts and passage-assisted migrants.

She will also discuss her work on Digital History Tasmania, highlighting how collaborative approaches have created innovative and accessible ways of engaging with the past – and how similar projects might be developed in South Australia.
