HE WAKA EKE NOA - One Journey, Many Perspectives - APLEC conference 2026
He Waka Eke Noa
He Waka Eke Noa - "We are all in this waka together" reminds us that every journey begins with shared intention. As we gather for APLEC, we recognise that practical legal training is shaped by many currents: cultural traditions, professional expectations, emerging technologies, and the lived experiences of learners across the world.
One Journey, Many Perspectives
One Journey, Many Perspectives speaks to the richness of this collective voyage. Each jurisdiction brings its own stories, challenges, and innovations, yet we move forward together - learning from one another, strengthening our connections, and navigating toward a future-ready legal profession.
In this shared waka, international perspectives are not simply welcomed; they are essential. They broaden our horizons, deepen our understanding, and remind us that the development of new lawyers is a global endeveavour.
Together, we chart a course that honours our differences, celebrates our shared purpose, and carries us toward a more connected resilient and innovative legal training community.
