Are you a parent or carer of a young person (12-16yo) who identifies as transgender, non-binary or gender diverse?

Join Merrin Wake and other parents/carers for an informal catch up and peer information session on Sunday 3rd April 11am - 1:30pm. There will be a chance to share stories, ask questions and meet other parents/carers through a safe, inclusive and welcoming discussion. A light lunch/snacks will be provided

This session will run at the same time as Firekeepers' Head Outside nature connection event for 12-16yo trans, non-binary and gender diverse young people - you can read more about that event and your young person can register here.

Merrin Wake is a health and education consultant and works as a LGTBIQ+ Child and Family Practitioner for Drummond Street Services as well as a peer mentor. She is a part of Transcend Australia and other peer support networks. Merrin has a passion for working alongside families and carers of LGTBIQ+ young people with a whole family approach to support our kids to be all they can be. Merrin is the proud parent of a trans, non-binary young person. 

This event is supported by funding from Transgender Victoria's SPARK Program and VicHealth's Reimagining Healthh Grants.
