Monte Lupo - Head Planter Workshop

All levels of experience are welcome to the head planter workshop, and all materials and equipment for the workshop will be supplied. 

You don't need to bring anything on the day, except closed in shoes and clothes you don't mind getting decorated with clay. 

The workshop is broken into two sessions on the 1st and 2nd December. 

 

SESSION 1: 1st December | 10am – 1pm

You will be guided through the process of forming your own head planter and giving your planter some personality through sculptural and texture making techniques and extra embellishments! 

Each person will be provided with a thrown neck and mould face. You must them join the pieces together and embellish the head.

SESSION 2: 2nd December | 10- 1pm

You will be guided through the process of decorating your pieces, ready for firing. 

After you have decorated your head planter, your piece will be fired by our talented team at Monte Lupo Studio in Brisbane. Sculptures can either be picked up in Brisbane or we can organise postage for you sculpture to be returned to you.

Your piece will be handled and fired by our staff with the utmost care. However, if breakages or kiln related mishaps occur, they will be repaired by our skilled staff. If it cannot be repaired, you will be offered an opportunity to make a new piece during studio time at no additional cost.
