Healing Paper Plant Wreath | School Holiday Workshops

Please join us here at the gallery these school holidays to make your own individual paper leaf wreath incorporating the leaves of healing and medicinal plants, such as calendula, elderberry, mint and nettle. In this hands on workshop you will make a gorgeous healing plant paper wreath. 

Participants will develop fine motor skills through the cutting and folding of paper. A skill that will keep little hands busy and minds engaged for many more hours back at home along with a discussion on the healing properties of plants. 

This workshop responds to the current exhibition In Grief, where the artists Maissa Alameddine and Emily Mcintosh invite you to make your own leaf to contribute to a communal work about remembrance and how we remember and commemorate collective grief. 

All materials are supplied, just bring loads of enthusiasm and creativity to share. Workshop participants will take home their own paper leaf wreath to remind them of nature’s bounty and blessings. 

Suitable for all ages and experience levels. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a ticket.
