My partner Matthew and I know firsthand the deep, ongoing grief that accompanies Childlessness when it is not your choice. I wish that I had the knowledge about the therapy and tools that yoga provides back when we were in the midst of our childless pain. Now as the decades have passed I know deep in my heart space that I must share these tools to help other couples. Infertility, whether from a known cause or not, can place enormous pressure and sadness on a couple. Even those who feel they have dealt with the sadness can still experience an emptiness within.

I invite you to join Matthew and myself for a half day workshop in beautiful Balnarring. Together we will explore some gentle, simple, yet deeply powerful practices to lift the sadness, ease the shame, guilt and emptiness, and help to heal the wounds left behind.

No matter if childlessness is a new experience for you, or you are still holding the grief from many years ago, I welcome you and your partner to find time and space for some deep heart-and-soul nourishment together.

This workshop is intended for couples of any gender living with present or past pain of being childless not-by-choice.

This healing workshop will include:

Gentle yoga practice designed to heal your heart and reproductive space

'Mindful Writing' exercise to help uncover any hidden or suppressed emotions

Opportunity to share your story (by choice of course)

'Couples' meditation to cultivate love and gratitude for each other, building a stronger bond

Yoga Nidra meditation – also known as yogic sleep. This is a very relaxing, yet profoundly beneficial meditation that takes you to a deep state of conscious awareness, allowing for true healing and growth to occur.

I have never done yoga or meditation before. Can I still attend?

Yes, absolutely. This workshop requires no previous yoga or meditation experience. You do not need to fit or flexible, or anything….but you do need to be able to get yourself up and down from the floor, and feel comfortable sitting on the floor, and laying down.

What do I need to wear and bring?

Wear anything that allows you to move freely, is warm and comfortable. Wear layers as you will warm up during the yoga practice, and cool down during the meditations. A pair of comfy socks can also be lovely. The gardens at Warrawee Homestead are stunning, so bring along weather appropriate clothing so you can go for a wander during our tea break.

Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, your own blanket, and a towel to place over the studio bolsters. Bring along your own water bottle.

There is plenty of free on-site parking

We will be taking some time for a break with herbal teas and light vegan snacks provided for you.

Participants will receive a journal and pen, and the option to join our private Membership site to access online meditations to practice at home, and share experiences and thoughts with others experiencing childlessness. Community and connection are so important to help bring healing to the heart.

Cost is $200 per couple. This workshop is limited to 5 couples.

Who am I?

My name is Silva and I am a long-time yoga student, yoga and meditation teacher, workshop facilitator, and owner of Kinfolk Healing. I am currently completing my certification as a registered Yoga Therapist and Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant.
