Health & Safety Education Session for Business
Description
A practical 60-minute session for small and medium businesses who don't have dedicated health and safety expertise in-house.
We'll use the proposed changes to the Health and Safety at Work Act as a starting point for discussion, what's changing, what it means for a typical business, and what good H&S management looks like in practice. You'll receive a simple H&S checklist at the start, so as the discussion moves through key topics you can identify what you've already got covered and where the gaps might be.
This session runs under the Chatham House Rule, so you're free to ask questions and share your own experience without it being attributed outside the room. It's an education session, not a sales pitch, presenters won't be promoting their own businesses or services.
Presenters:
Kevin Park - Kevin Park, Managing Director of Safety Seek Ltd and EOTC Ltd Trip Planner. Developer of a health and safety web-based system being used in over 700 businesses and by other health and safety consultants to manage their clients' day-to-day health and safety evidence.
Karl Berendt - Managing Director, Incident Prevention Group. Taupō-based, 16 years across high-risk industries, currently President of the NZ Institute of Safety Management (NZISM).
