Are you a nurse or health care worker looking for tools to enhance your wellbeing and manage stress? I am thrilled to invite you to this Transformative Masterclass on Sunday 12th of May at 2-4pm AEST.

It's no surprise that being a nurse and health care worker can be physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding. Self-care is an absolute must for a health care worker’s mental health. Cultivating gratitude, living a healthy lifestyle, finding inner peace, and prioritizing our own happiness will help us both in and out of our uniform.

Healthcare workers and carers prioritize the well-being of others every single day. They work tirelessly to ensure patients are comfortable, safe, and receiving the proper care that they deserve. While working back-to-back shifts, doing overtime, and working with staff shortages can lead to burnout, chronic health issues and workers leaving the profession they once loved.

Nurses and health care workers have been accustomed to giving their all during work hours, especially with the ongoing stress of the global pandemic, self-care may take a backseat, or simply be non-existent.

As a nurse, nursing leader, doctor, paramedic or any other healthcare professionals, there is a high chance that you or your peers have experienced symptoms of burnout due to your workload and environment. Anxiety, a lack of self-care, emotional fatigue, and an inability to rest well are symptoms of stress and burnout in nursing and health care, affecting your mental health over time.

While health care worker burnout statistics around the world indicate significant shortages that affect the industry and patient care, many workers face increasing levels of burnout and exhaustion. In turn, stress, and burnout in nursing lead to increased rates of depression, anxiety, tiredness, and physiological problems like hypertension. These issues may force many healthcare professionals out of the industry when individuals and organizations do not implement self-care practices.
