UTS has established a Health Communication Research Group hosted by the UTS School of Communication in partnership with the UTS Faculty of Health and Associate Members.
The Group is holding its public launch in the form of a seminar with speakers discussing:
- The role and performance of media in public health
- Digital literacy and public health
- Promoting health in CALD and refugee communities, and
- A special presentation on a recent study of health worker resilience in the UK during COVID-19.
Speakers include:
- Emeritus Professor Anne Gregory, University of Huddersfield, UK. Adviser to the UK Government and the World Health Organization
- Dr Catriona Bonfiglioli, UTS School of Communication (journalism and media studies)
- Associate Professor Heather Ford, Discipline Head, Digital and Social Media, UTS
- Dr Jane Frawley, Faculty of Health, UTS
- Dr Michael Camit, Manager, Health Literacy, South Western Sydney Local Health District
