Event description

Partnering to address intersecting health, legal and social need.

Life can get complicated, and people rarely experience problems in neat ways. Yet our service systems often approach problems as though they are isolated and distinct, meaning it can be tough for people to get the help they need.

New approaches to collaboration between services are changing this and reimagining the way people with complex problems are accessing help.

Health Justice 2023 will explore what services, researchers and policy makers are doing to enable this change, and how you can get involved.

Our first national conference since 2019, Health Justice 2023 brings together a wide range of people across multiple systems to get you thinking and learning. To improve health, justice and wellbeing across Australia and internationally, Health Justice 2023 will help you:

  • build new skills
  • develop your capability
  • gain connections with people who share your interest in collaborating to solve complex problems

Over a two-day program, speakers and participants will share perspectives on the complex challenges faced by people experiencing intersecting health, legal and other problems, from domestic and family violence to mental ill-heath and addiction, the problems that bring people into contact with child protection, poor-quality housing, fines and debt.

Health Justice 2023 provides a unique opportunity to build networks and explore opportunities to collaborate across research, service delivery and systems change to improve health, justice and wellbeing.

Places are limited, ensuring a highly participatory event. Register soon to avoid disappointment. Early bird registration ends on July 31, 2023.
