This event will bring together some of the most innovative and forward-thinking startups in the health tech industry. Whether you're a healthcare professional, entrepreneur, or just passionate about technology, this is a night you won't want to miss.

Our MC for the night will be the fabulous Sinéad Fitzgerald, Senior SaaS Partner Manager at Microsoft ANZ and we have lined up a stellar judging panel, including:

Dr Simon Kos
, MBA, MBBS, BSc(Med), CHIA, Health Industry Executive, Microsoft ANZ

Dr. Simon Kos is an internationally recognised leader in digital health, working in global, regional and national senior executive roles for over twenty years. He is a registered medical practitioner who has practiced critical care medicine in Australia. He holds an MBBS from UNSW and an MBA from AGSM and is a Certified Health Informatician of Australasia (CHIA). Significant past roles include global chief medical officer of Microsoft based in Seattle, CEO of Next Practice, and Physician Executive with Cerner. He is currently a Health Executive with Microsoft ANZ, a mentor in both the NHS and Australia’s Clinical Entrepreneur Programmes, and an advisor/investor in digital health start-ups.

Dr Vikram Palit, A/Professor in Health Leadership @ANU College of Health and Medicine, Paediatrician and Founder & CEO of consultmed
Consultmed are a HealthTech startup which set out to “axe the fax” for specialist medical referrals. The digital platform allows secure exchange of healthcare information between providers and streamlines digital referrals, consent, clinical triage, and remote expert opinion. The Consultmed platform is currently live at six hospital sites in NSW to send and receive referrals by hundreds of GPs, specialists, allied healthcare workers and administrators. Founded in 2019, last year the founders raised $1.2 million in the first venture capital round which will allow for even greater expansion.

Dr Amandeep Hansra is a practising GP, investor, entrepreneur and company director. She currently works as a Principal at Main Sequence Ventures bringing her nearly two decades of clinical experience to her approach in picking great impactful companies for investment in the health sector. Amandeep is also the NSW clinical lead for the Australian Clinical Entrepreneur Program (AUSCEP).

She was a co-founder of Australian Medical Angels, one of the world's largest syndicate of angels in the medical space and founder of the organisation, Creative Careers in Medicine. She has a Bachelor of Medicine (honours) from the University of Newcastle, a Masters in Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University and a Global Executive MBA from the University of Sydney. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Biomedical Informatics and Digital Health at the University of Sydney. Amandeep was awarded a 2021 Brilliant Women in Digital Health Award by Telstra Health and the 2022 National Leadership Award by the University of Newcastle. Amandeep is passionate about innovation in the health sector, supporting entrepreneurship and creating companies that can change the world.

For those of you who have never attended a Friday Pitch Night, here's a bit of context! Every second Friday night from 5pm, Fishburners opens its doors to host Shark Tank-style, Friday Night Pitches. We are a not-for-profit community of entrepreneurs that are dedicated to growing tech startups - and this is Australia's largest, most regular event in the ecosystem.

If you're looking for inspiration to start a business, are keen to learn some pitch tips, or just want to find out what startups are new in Sydney, this is for you. It's a great event for current entrepreneurs or anyone interested in entrepreneurship but not sure where to start.

The pitch night kicks off at 5:30 pm! Grab a drink and watch these fantastic founders put it all on the table!
