The HealthTech Activator’s (HTA) next Commercial Planning and Strategy workshop takes place on Tuesday 17 June 2025 in Auckland.

Whether you’re making your first sales or planning for future market entry, the complex nature of healthtech supply chains can make health a tougher sector to plan for and succeed in than most. This workshop focuses on the principles of commercial planning, strategy and activation, to provide key knowledge and frameworks for excelling in the business development process.

This workshop will help you:

Work through your value chain and understand its role in business development.
Build out your value proposition and differentiation.
Understand the mechanics of the business development process and buyer behaviour.
Developing and leveraging partnerships and collaborations.
Navigating complex accounts and dealing with longer sales processes.

The workshop is aimed at early-stage and in-market healthtech companies. The content is aimed at businesses planning to grow or accelerate their sales after launch.

The workshop is facilitated by Dan Hansen, Director of consulting firm Apagie, and CEO of Avert Group, a US focussed healthtech business. Dan uses cross-industry and first-hand experience to give companies the right processes for successfully commercialising and growing their health technology products and services.

Some customer feedback from a previous workshop:

"Without doubt, I would say this workshop is singularly the most useful, practical, course I have done to be confident that the aspirations for the business can become our reality… Great people with great knowledge. The best investment you could make to give your business the chance of success." - Kerri McMaster, My Better Breathing Limited.
