Event description

Join us for an on-farm workshop in Mount Torrens to support you to enhance the environmental health of your property while maintaining productive agricultural practices. This workshop will cover a range of topics, providing practical insights and hands-on experiences to help you implement sustainable solutions on your property.

We will email the property address and directions separately after registration.

Key Topics include:

  • Fencing dams and watercourses: Learn the environmental and operational benefits of fencing dams and watercourses to protect water quality, reduce erosion, and enhance biodiversity.
  • Revegetation – how to and why: Why is it important to revegetate using native plants and learn which species to choose for the best outcomes.
  • Weed and pest control: Gain effective strategies for managing weeds and pests sustainably and effectively.
  • Supporting native wildlife: Explore how to create and enhance habitats that support local wildlife, including turtles and birds. We'll cover the creation of habitat islands and wildlife corridors that can coexist with your farming activities.
  • Water management: What can you do when managing water on property, and where to go for further support and advice.

This session is a great opportunity to meet other landholders, network and get advice from a range of experts. Attendees will receive an information pack to take home.

Morning tea will be supplied, please bring a chair for afterwards.

This workshop is funded by Coca-Cola Australia Foundation in partnership with Landcare Australia.
