This event has passed Register

Event description

Healthy eating is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle, and for people with diabetes or at risk of diabetes it can be life-changing.

This April, please join us at the Novotel Rotorua Lakeside for a day of stimulating information and discussion around a variety of approaches to healthy eating.

We have a range of speakers confirmed, including Ngamaru Raerino and Sarah Hancock (AUT), and will be adding to our list over the coming weeks.

Learn the facts, demystify the myths, and improve your knowledge.

Find out more about:

  • National Guidelines
  • Cultural perspectives around food and eating
  • The ketogenic diet
  • The low carb approach
  • The Mediterranean diet
  • Eating a plant-based diet

We invite you to submit questions over the course of the day to be discussed by the speakers during the final kōrero.

Tickets are $25, which includes tea and coffee breaks, a delicious lunch and afternoon tea.

A small booking fee is charged (just over $1) if you book online, 100% of which goes directly to charitable education projects. Alternatively you can contact the Waiariki office to buy a ticket with cash - Ph 07 343 9950.

This is a regional event including the Rotorua, Taupo, Eastern Bay of Plenty, Tauranga and Waikato branches of Diabetes NZ.
