🌿 About this Training

This training is designed specifically for NDIS services and staff at all levels — from frontline support workers to coordinators and managers — to build resilience, strengthen inclusion, and improve feedback and supervision practices for more sustainable ways of working using Healthy Empathy.

Delivered over two interactive 1.5-hour online sessions, participants will learn practical, repeatable tools that can be applied immediately in their work with clients, colleagues, and teams.

🧩 Session Breakdown

Session 1: Understanding People Better – Healthy Empathy and Biases at Work

  • Discover what healthy empathy really is (and what it isn’t).

  • Explore the three types of empathy and why balancing them prevents burnout.

  • Unpack unconscious biases that shape our communication and assumptions.
Key Outcome: Staff gain a clear framework for practising healthy empathy and recognising biases, helping them strengthen relationships with clients, colleagues, and leaders while reducing the risk of burnout.

Session 2: Communicating with Care – Emotional Regulation and Empathetic Feedback

  • Learn emotional regulation techniques to stay calm and grounded under pressure.

  • Build emotional literacy to understand and name feelings in yourself and others.

  • Walk away with simple, repeatable tools for sustainable, human-centred leadership.
Key Outcome: Staff develop practical tools to manage emotions under pressure and deliver empathetic feedback, supporting wellbeing and improving both client outcomes and team culture.
