Hear a Witness: Dr Jack Leder
Event description
Join us at the Melbourne Holocaust Museum for the rare opportunity to hear first-hand from Holocaust survivor Dr Jack Leder.
Jack was born in Brussels, Belgium in 1939. Jack was one year old when the Germans invaded Belgium.
Jake's father was arrested and interned in various camps in France over a two years period. When Germany invaded Belgium, Jack's parents tried to find a way to escape to England. They almost escaped but retreated to Brussels, where they remained for the rest of the war.
while Jack was hiding in Brussels, they evaded arrest on multiple occasions until we were liberated in 1945. Jack's father was murdered in Auschwitz.
Jack came to Australia in 1948 with his mother, brother and grandmother.
Join us on the 14th of September to meet Jack and learn about his experiences.
