GROUP ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT

Never tried acupuncture before? Now is the chance! Ms. Liu of Willow Acupuncture in Hunter, NY will provide us with this special service. Everyone will be together in one of the large living rooms. Engage with the collective aura while experiencing individual transformation.

COOK, CONSUME, AND CONNECT WITH A PERSONALIZED FEAsT

All guests are asked to bring a dish for our last night!

Together, we will have a beautiful feast with each of our favorite foods. WIth 2 full kitchens, you can do most of your cooking here or prepare it ahead of time to be reheated. This portion of the retreat is meant to help us connect with each other in more of a full body experience - combining significant personal moments with empathetic camaraderie.

TAKE ON THE WILD

Whether you want to admire from the porch or explore the nearby trails, nature is always within arm's reach. There will be plenty of time to go off in groups to walk the trails, hike, or even just sit out and appreciate the landscape.

Sunday, November 2

Arrival between 5:30PM and 7PM - Sarah will provide homemade desserts everyone can snack on while introducing themselves to each other and getting settled. Please eat dinner on your own beforehand.
- Carpooling is recommended since Hunter, NY is about 3 hours 15 minutes away from Bethlehem, PA. However, there will be plenty of parking, so it's okay to come separately as well.
Opening Ceremony to include group meditation, singing bowls, Oracle cards, incense, and essential oils.
Wind down / bedtime for the next day

Monday, November 3

Morning yoga begins at 6:45AM with a slow vinyasa that transforms into Yin Yoga by the end.
Enjoy a catered breakfast provided by Fellow Mountain Cafe.
1 hour of Silence (also phone free) for reading, meditation, reflection, journaling, or being in nature. Should you decide to take a walk or small hike, we're using the honor system that you still stay quiet out there as well. This includes how you interact with each other. No words or typing on the phone. Give it a try! After the one hour is up, you are free to talk again.
Enjoy an introduction to some partner yoga. Let loose and just have fun! This is also the time to grab a snack or some lunch, either out in town or eat something you've packed. Nothing too heavy!
1PM is our group acupuncture session held in the living room led by Ms. Liu of Willow Acupuncture.
Free time! Hike or walk the trails, take some time to rest, play some games, etc.
Feast preparation - if you have decided to cook a majority of your dish onsite, begin to prepare it at anytime. If you are reheating, feel free to wait until it's closer to the time to eat.
Let the feast begin! Around 7:30, we will gather around the table and dig into our dishes. As we eat, we'll go around and highlight what makes our dishes special to us.
Karma Yoga - we all help clean up after our bellies are full.
Yoga Nidra to end the evening on a peaceful note. Afterwards, enjoy our last night with the outdoor fire pit, the hot tub, or even just stargazing.

Tuesday, November 4

We begin at 6:30AM with pranayama and a gentle vinyasa (mostly seated or lying down asanas). This leads into the Closing Ceremony.
Light breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, and egg bites provided by Sarah Shea.
Time to clean and pack up the space, leaving it in the same (if not better) condition as when we entered. Checkout is 11AM.

WHAT TO BRING & EXPECT

Yoga mat & any yoga accessories you use (i.e. bolster, blocks, yoga strap).
Enough clothing to wear multiple layers - the chalet should be plenty warm, but going outdoors will have a chill.
Appropriate footwear if you decide to hike or walk outside.
Your own toiletries.
Anything else necessary in order for you to stay comfortably in a place that is not your home.
Ingredients, cookware, and anything else needed to make your dish for Monday night's feast. If your dish can be cooked onsite, perfect. If you cook it ahead of time and just put it inthe fridge until it's time to eat, that works well, too.
Although we will have our phones with us, I ask that it be on silent for most of the trip, especially during our yoga and acupuncture sessions. During our Silent Hour, please refrain from any phone usage unless for emergencies.
Bring a bathing suit if you would like to enjoy the hot tub onsite.
Remember to respect the property - if there are "No Trespassing" signs along part of the outside, please refrain from going beyond those points. Make sure you do not damage any part of the property, inside or outside. Additionally, please make sure to clean up after yourself out of respect for all of the retreat attendees as well as the host.
