Heart-Centred Listening
Event description
Come gather for 2.5 hours of real, human connection through heart-centred listening.
This is a hands-on, trauma-informed introduction to listening in a way that helps people feel safe, seen, and less alone. We’ll explore how our nervous system affects how we connect, and practice listening in pairs and small groups—no pressure to get it perfect, just space to learn and grow together.
We’ll cover:
The basics of heart-centred listening
How the nervous system (ANS) shapes how we show up
Simple ways to stay grounded and present
Role plays and reflections in a supportive space
Led by Peter Coyle, a local psychotherapist and founder of the Manly Sidewalk Talk chapter. Offered freely as part of his community work through Inspira.
All welcome. No experience needed—just a bit of curiosity and care.
Location: Shelley Room, Manly Library
