A desperate boxing coach pushes his son to become the champion he could never be - until one fateful night, a gut-wrenching discovery throws his whole world into turmoil - while the truth about his past finally catches up with him.

Set in regional Queensland, Heart of the Man is an authentic depiction of the struggle between familial and social expectation and what you really love, and who you are as a human being. 

Marking the feature film writing/directing debut of David Cook, Heart of the Man stars young actor Parker Little, supported by a seasoned cast including Roxanne McDonald, Sean Dow, Matt Young and David Cook.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director David Cook and actor Parker Little, moderated by Darius Devas.
