HeartBeats: August 2024
Event description
Anyone who's ever been to Confest knows exactly what the 'Open Stage' is all about. If you're unfamiliar, then just know that it's the most warm, fun, and heartfelt open mic event in existence. HeartBeats draws inspiration from the Open Stage to bring you those tasty feelings of music, expression, creativity, surprises, community, and connection.
Come along with your crew to share in this beautiful night.
We are also including an exciting optional add-on offering of Tom Robb's transformative workshop 'Finding Your Truth North' which invites attendees to rediscover their ultimate potential through a series of powerful exercises and activities. (read further down for the details).
In exciting news, HeartBeats is growing and we've just locked in a wonderful new venue called the Quad Club. Get ready to experience the epic 4-dimensional sound that this venue has to offer. It has only recently opened and is the perfect next spot for us to gather.
HeartBeats is an open mic at its essence, but it is so much more. You’re invited to come and share your open heart with a present audience who are primed to receive and show appreciation. Expressions come in the shapes and forms of music, poetry, comedy, or whatever the performer chooses. Due to the vast number of talented humans in the HeartBeats community, please get down early and put your name on the list, because we won't have time to put everyone on. Apologies in advance to those who won't make it on, but more reason to keep coming along.
You can keep updated with events and artists at @heartbeatslive on Instagram.

HeartBeats Local Artist Grant:
The HeartBeats family are proud to announce the launch of our first Local Artists Grant – and we want YOU to enter! The grant will be available to all local artists that have a vision for their art: be it music production, poetic, visual, performative, comedic, prophetic, digital, dramatic, and so on. Basically, anything you’d love to make but haven’t been able to raise the funds for… we got you.
To fund our Local Artists Grant, the Heartbeats family are putting aside proceeds from each community event we hold – and making sure those funds go straight back into the community via this grant. We’ll announce more details at the July 7 event.
