On June 25th, we will share Heartescense- a bespoke Yoga, Sound and Food journey, held on Gadigal Land. This is a community-minded, heart-centered celebration led by Leki, humble beatmaker DJ Bronte and tapas by my tasty twin Lil Eets. As inspired by Rachael Roberts thoughtful series Reflections, 40% of the event proceeds will be going to a local fund supporting women in hardship.

Alcatraz warehouse will hold a small group of 20 people for the yoga and sound session for 1.5 hrs. Leki will guide us through a Jivamukti-inspired yoga sequence, suitable for all levels. This will be an able-bodied practice although all are invited to be present in the ambience and sound journey. Bronte will facilitate spacious electronica soundscapes, accompanied by singing bowls and handpan punctuating the stillness in savasana/rest and meditation. This will be followed by vegetarian tapas at the bar with mocktails by the Alcatraz team. Alcohol is available so please drink responsibly.

What you will need:

- Comfy clothes for movement.

- A yoga mat. Please message me in advance if you will need one.

- An open mind and respect of the people and place.

Starting time: The event will begin at noon. Feel free to arrive in your own time prior to meditate or socialise. Please come on time as to assist in creating a safe and soft container for all involved.

~ This is a community callout to explore our senses, our bodies, and our connection to the thread that binds us. Heartescence is an attempt to deepen and nourish our own root systems. We seek to explore how we can be curious and playful in our journey through spirit while indulging in the beauty of what it means to be human. Alcatraz is home to this event due to its unique rugged beauty and industrial ambiance and I am beyond excited to share this event with you all! ~ Leki
