Preparing for Extreme Heat: Building Community Resilience

Extreme heat is Australia’s deadliest climate risk — but preparation can save lives.

Join the Southside Resilience Collective for a free, practical and community-focused workshop exploring the risks of extreme heat and how households and local communities can prepare.

You’ll learn how to identify local hot spots and cool refuges, support people who may be more vulnerable during heat events, and take simple actions to stay safe, connected and prepared.

Each participant will leave with a personalised Heat Care Plan and the knowledge and confidence to reach out to neighbours for support — and to offer support to others in their community.

Come prepared, stay connected, and help build a more heat-resilient community.
