Event description
As the season of Birak heats up join community gardener and permaculture lecturer Yann Toussaint for a workshop on helping your garden remain a lush and productive sanctuary over the hotter months. Topics will include garden design and plant selection, reticulation and grey water systems, maintaining soil health and creating microclimates for maintaining backyard biodiversity and human enjoyment.
About the presenter
Yann Toussaint has over 25 years experience in running bush regeneration nurseries, community gardens and landscaping services. He has taught extensively at UWA and South Regional TAFE in various aspects of sustainability, community development, horticulture and permaculture and regularly delivers gardening, sustainability and nature journalling workshops for adults and children.
This event is being run in partnership between Enviro House and the City of Bayswater.
