Channel 83 Presents:

Conan the Barbarian + Heavenly Sutures by Edd Atchison

Doors Open: 5:30 PM

Screening Begins: 6:00 PM

Venue: Eclipse Cinema 32 Wellington St, Collingwood VIC 3066

The night opens with Heavenly Sutures, an animated short film by Edd Atchison. At its core is the story of a man and his horse, a steed turned accomplice, bound together in pursuit of the finest cotton. What begins as a pilgrimage into craftsmanship slowly dissolves into obsession. Drunk on their own volition, we meet Boy, a protagonist in relentless pursuit, stopping at nothing as he encounters a series of adversaries, some more powerful than others.

Following the short is Conan the Barbarian (1982), directed by John Milius. A defining work of swords-and-sorcery cinema and a long-held point of reference for Atchison, Conan unfolds in a world governed by belief, ritual, and will, where conviction is tested through violence and endurance. Together, the films make for a night of adventure, myth, and fantasy.

A limited Channel 83 × Edd Atchison collaborative tapestry will be on display and available on the night.

We’re excited to share these films with you.

See you at Eclipse.
