Hegedu

Hegedu is the exciting chamber-folk triple violin project by multi-instrumentalist Chris Lyons and featuring some of Scotland's finest fiddlers.

The all-original compositions mixes folk fiddle styles with elaborated and exciting chamber music, as well as smidges of prog, early music, math rock, Americana and Eastern European music. Their original and tuneful string fireworks have already attracted the attention of BBC Radio 3, BBC Scotland and they have played a sellout show at Celtic Connections. T

hey have recently recorded their debut album funded by Creative Scotland which is set for release very soon.

This show is part of Pianodrome's Make It Yourself Festival, championing excellent local talent in Edinburgh!

Make It Yourself is Pianodrome's brand new festival — a five day celebration of DIY culture, creativity and local community, running during October half term from 14th–18th October 2026 at Pianodrome Bruntsfield Community Hub.

Supported by the Edinburgh Council Local Events Fund, this hyper-local festival brings together makers, musicians, artists and community organisations for five days of workshops, live music, art exhibitions and open mic performances, all rooted in our core ethos of upcycling, innovation and working together.

Doors open 30 mins prior to listed event start time

Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. It has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. Please get in touch if there is anything else you'd like to ask or tell us prior to your visit.

Concessions

We do not check your right to a concession or name your price ticket. If you feel you can afford the full price please select this ticket. However, concessions prices are there to help anybody attend the show - if you need a lower cost ticket you are in the best position to determine that. No questions asked.

Accessibility

There is ramped access to the main hall of the Pianodrome. We have an accessible toilet and space for wheelchairs. Most of our performances are relaxed performances. If you have any access requirements please feel free to email us at boxoffice@pianodrome.org.
