HeHo Nursery Visit
Event description
Join us for a relaxing hour on Saturday morning for a tour of the Yellingbo Indigenous Plant Nursery, run by the Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater. Get a behind-the-scenes look at just how this nursery successfully raises many thousands of seedlings each year, without which programs such as ‘Ribbons of Green’ and Melbourne Water’s ‘Liveable Communities, Liveable Waterways’ would have difficulty existing.
View the new seed storage facility, the propagation greenhouses, and why not buy some seedlings for your property – tubestock is $3.00 each, larger plants are upwards of $6.00 each. Cash and cards accepted.
Parking available on-site.
Morning tea afterwards at the Saints property, ‘Possum Creek’, just 10 minutes away at 35 Coopers road, Macclesfield.”
The event will be postponed if heavy rain or strong winds are forecast and it would be unsafe to proceed. We will advise you via email if the event is to be postponed
