    Hello Possums: Katarapko possum survey with the Friends of Riverland Parks

    Event description

    Come along and join the Friends of Riverland Parks and a local wetlands ecologist for a night walk to conduct a possum survey with your torch / spotlight and learn about the ecosystem of the Ngak Indau wetlands in Murray River National Park.


    Accessibility:

    This activity will take place on trails are uneven and have tripping hazards (tree roots, branches, rocks) at night. This activity is not recomended for people with limited mobility.

    Who is this event for:

    All welcome. This activity requires participants to remain quiet to avoid scaring the possums. It is not recommended for small children.


    Meeting Point:

    Meet at Berri Senior Citizens Centre, 9/12 Crawford Terrace, Berri.

    *Participants will then travel in convoy to the Ngak Indau Wetland Trail in Murray River National Park.

    What to Bring:

    • Enclosed shoes
    • Warm clothing
    • Insect repellent
    • Drinking water
    • Snacks
    • Torch / Headlamp
