Help Others - Practical peer support training built for the construction, trades, and associated industries

Often, the person most likely to notice someone is struggling is the one working right beside them. In this industry, you look out for your people. Whether you're on the tools, running a crew, or leading a business, this workshop gives you practical tools to recognise when someone in your world is doing it tough, and the confidence to check in and support.

Built for everyone across construction, trades and associated industries - from apprentices and labourers to project managers, leadership teams, business owners - the training is grounded in the realities of your sector. Learn practical ways to notice, check in, and connect someone to support.

What you'll walk away with

A clear picture of what peer support actually looks like
Practical conversation skills you can use in the moment, wherever you are
The confidence to check in on someone you're concerned about
An understanding of the support pathways available - and how to connect someone to them
Tools to look after yourself while you're supporting others

How the training works

Highly interactive and discussion-based
Built around real-life scenarios
Focused on skills you'll actually use

Who it's for

Workers, supervisors and business leaders across the Taranaki construction and trades community - anyone who wants to look out for their people. Employers are encouraged to book their team in.

Why it matters

Construction and trades carry some of the highest rates of mental distress of any sector. Peer support works, but only when people feel equipped to use it. This workshop is a practical step toward a culture where looking out for each other is simply part of how we work.

Seats are limited. Register now - and bring someone from your team.
