TreeProject is a not for profit organisation dedicated to revegetating Victoria, one seedling at a time. We host several planting days from MAY through to SEPTEMBER across Victoria and acknowledges that this is a Ribbons of Green Program proudly run by Yarra Ranges Council.

Get your hands dirty and join us for a day of planting trees, shrubs and ground cover on this beautiful property in the Yarra Valley. Your hosts need help planting seedlings to protect waterways, improve ecosystems and create habitat for wildlife.

Tree planting involves digging, bending and walking on uneven ground so you will need good physical fitness and mobility.

Parents/caregivers please ensure each child and each adult accompanying has a ticket under the parents/caregivers ticket.

Planting days are a great way to meet new people, learn about the environment and is guaranteed to give you the warm and fuzzies at the end of the day.

Morning tea and a hearty lunch will be provided.

TreeProject gets urban and rural communities working together to put trees back on the land. Our network of trained volunteers grows indigenous seedlings for rural landholders and Landcare groups who need our help with revegetation. With almost 3 million indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses planted so far and growing 157.400 seedlings this year, we are passionate about empowering the community to support biodiversity in any way they can; whether that be helping plant indigenous seedlings on rural properties, volunteering to grow indigenous seedlings for TreeProject or dropping in to our weekly community Growers Group to help us sow and care for our indigenous seedlings at our nursery. By choosing to plant indigenous species, you can support local wildlife, and contribute to the restoration of Victoria’s precious ecosystems.
