Help Preserve the Reserve - Introducing the Quenda!
Event description
Reviving Urban Wildlife: Introducing the quenda!
Are you eager to make a positive impact on your environment? Come along to our information session and learn all about the cute native marsupials *QUENDA (!!) living at Crimp Crescent in Australind.
Quendas, indigenous to Western Australia, face dwindling populations due to habitat loss. Enter the Leschenault Estuary Connect Program! Through this program, the LCC are seeking community volunteers to help contribute to preserving this iconic species and its natural environment.
Attend our community information session on March 21st at Settlers Hall in Australind, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, to learn more. Discover insights into quenda ecology, population studies, habitat restoration strategies, and opportunities for volunteer involvement.
Don't miss this chance to be part of a meaningful initiative. There's even an opportunity to win one of three $50 native plant vouchers!
This workshop will have a photographer in attendance that will produce photos that may be used for promotional purposes.
See you there!
This project is supported by the Leschenault Estuary Connect Program, made possible through generous funding support from Lotterywest, helping build a better WA together, and Water Corporation.
