John Parsons is the country's leading authority on internet safety for children, and works nationwide with young people, parents, the police, teachers and the health sector. He has developed a toolbox of highly practical, realistic and proven strategies for both children and their caregivers.

Parsons has toured New Zealand extensively in recent years sharing advice on how not to attract online predators, and tips for parents and children on navigating the minefield that is social media.

His book "Keeping Your Children Safe Online - A Guide for New Zealand Parents" provided a timely resource for parents navigating new territory in a world that didn't exist when they were children.

Our young people are accessing technology at a younger age, frequently using devices for learning as well as entertainment. Come along to this opportunity to learn strategies on how to keep your children safe from the man who best knows the risks that exist online.
