Helper En Plein Aire 2026
Description
The Helper Arts Festival will be held August 20th - 23rd.
The En Plein Aire Competition will begin prior to the Arts Festival festival on Tuesday, August 18th Painters will have three days to paint within the boundaries of Carbon County.
Competition will end on Friday, August 21st at noon.
Awards will be announced at an evening reception and sale on August 21st at the Helper Art Workshops Building. An optional quick-draw competition will be held August 22nd at no additional cost.
This is a cash prize competition: First Prize, $2,500. Second Prize, $1,500. Third Prize, $500. Other awards, including People's Choice, Helper Beer Label Award and Mayor's Choice will be given.
An optional quick draw event with a silent auction will take place Saturday, August 22nd. Regular registration includes entry to the quick draw event.
Registration for the main event is full. Please join the waitlist and you will be contacted as soon as possible if there are cancellations.
Registration for the quick draw only event is now available.
If you register for the quick draw only and add your name to the waitlist for the main event, you will not be charged a separate registration fee if a spot becomes available in the main event.

Nationally recognized and award-winning microbrewery, Helper Beer, will select a painting to be used as a label for a special edition, top-selling beer can.
Enthusiasts, collectors, and the public are encouraged participate in the reception where all artwork will be displayed and available for sale. Winning paintings will be sold in a live auction. This is consistently a great way to purchase works by notable painters at very reasonable prices.
